Edinburgh and the Lothian Samaritans hold regular information evenings with a view to explaining the work of Samaritans to potential volunteers.
These evenings comprise informal events where two or three speakers provide an overview of how the branch works finishing with a usually lively question and answer session. Names are taken of those who wish to attend a selection event (as described in "training" see link opposite)
All information evenings are held at the branch, at 25 Torphichen Street, Edinburgh. Remember that the evenings are not just for those interested in volunteering - you can bring along a partner, friends or relatives. There are suitable facilities for anyone who will attend using a wheelchair.
