Annual exhibition and sale of art works raises £875 for Samaritans

This year's annual exhibition was a great success both for the Art Club and for Edinburgh and the Lothians Samaritans. The magnificent sum of £875 was raised for branch funds.   We are delighted with this and most grateful for all that effort put in by everyone concerned..  Click on the picture for a large version The Samaritans who answer the thousands of telephone calls that come in every year are all unpaid volunteers, however there are running costs associated with providing a 24/7 service.  It currently costs about £200 per day to keep the branch open so you can see the Art Club are responsible for keeping us going for almost five days which equates to on average around 300 calls for help. Well done everyone!!
